SAFIAstudios is an art curating and production house that operates at the intersection between collective practice and luxury experience. SAFIA uses a “Robin Hood”-like strategy to redistribute resources from the “cream” of the art world to its underground communities. Grounded in Ghana and globally connected, SAFIAstudios generates hybrid models for high-end contemporary culture rooted in ancestral, ecological and indigenous knowledge. Through a range of exhibitions, publications, pedagogy, and programming—as well as sales, commissions, and consulting—SAFIA projects “hack, heal and hip hop” contemporary art infrastructure.
