Charles Kojo Bucknor

Ecosystem Builder

Charles Kojo Bucknor is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, investor, and ecosystem builder whose work sits at the intersection of creativity, culture, and commerce. With a background in project finance and infrastructure development at General Electric and ContourGlobal, he brings a rare blend of large-scale strategic thinking and hands-on entrepreneurial execution.

He is the founder of Incipere Group, through which he has built and contributed to ventures across hospitality, consumer brands, and agriculture, including brands such as The Alley Bar, Treehouse Restaurant, Jamestown Coffee Company, Aphro Spirit, Root Bitters, and Black Star Lager. Across these businesses, his focus has been on creating brands and experiences that are not only commercially viable, but culturally resonant drawing on African identity, design, storytelling, and lifestyle to build enduring market value.

Charles is particularly passionate about businesses that move beyond creativity as expression alone, and into creativity as enterprise: ventures that can shape culture, generate livelihoods, deepen local value chains, and scale across borders. As a committee member, he brings a perspective that values both originality and execution, with a strong interest in founders who can turn bold ideas into sustainable, high-impact businesses.
